1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the PawCards mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and PawCards ("we," "us," or "our"). We may update these Terms from time to time, and your continued use of the App after such updates constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under 18, you must have parental consent to use the App.
2. Description of Service
PawCards is a mobile application that helps pet owners create digital profiles for their pets, connect with other pet owners in their community, and share information about pet sightings and encounters.
Key Features Include:
- Creating and managing digital pet profiles (PawCards)
- Connecting with other pet owners in your area
- Spotting and reporting pet encounters
- Lost pet alerts and community safety features
- Breed identification through PawDex database
- Messaging and social features for pet owners
- Location-based services for nearby pet discovery
3. User Accounts
Account Creation
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
Account Termination
- You may terminate your account at any time through the app settings
- We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms
- Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately
- We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes
4. Acceptable Use
Permitted Uses

Consequences of Violations
Violations of these Terms may result in warnings, account suspension, or permanent termination. We reserve the right to take appropriate action to protect our users and the integrity of the App.
5. User Content
Your Content
You retain ownership of the content you create and share through the App, including pet photos, descriptions, and messages. However, by using the App, you grant us a license to use, display, and distribute your content as necessary to provide the service.
Content Guidelines:
- Content must be appropriate and pet-related
- No offensive, harmful, or illegal content
- Respect the privacy of others
- No spam or promotional content
Content Moderation
We reserve the right to review, edit, or remove any content that violates these Terms or is otherwise inappropriate. We may also suspend or terminate accounts for repeated violations.

6. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and protection of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

7. Subscriptions & Payments
Premium Features
PawCards offers both free and premium features. Premium features include advanced safety tools, enhanced analytics, and priority support.
Subscription Plans:
- Monthly: £2.00 per month
- Annual: £20.00 per year (save £4.00)
- Launch Offer: £12.99 for first year (limited time)
Free Trial
New users receive a 3-month free trial of all premium features. The trial begins when you first use a premium feature and ends after 90 days.
You can cancel your trial at any time before it ends to avoid being charged. If you don't cancel, your subscription will automatically begin at the end of the trial period.
Payment and Billing
- Payments are processed through Apple's App Store
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
- You can cancel your subscription anytime through your Apple ID settings
- Refunds are handled according to Apple's refund policy
- We do not store your payment information
Cancellation and Refunds
You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to premium features until then.
Refunds are available within 7 days of purchase for new subscriptions. For technical issues or app problems, we may provide refunds at our discretion. Contact billing@pawcards.app for refund requests.
8. Intellectual Property
Our Rights
The App, including its design, functionality, and content (excluding user-generated content), is owned by PawCards and protected by intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the App without our written permission.
Your Rights
You retain ownership of the content you create and share through the App. By using the App, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use your content to provide the service.
This license allows us to display, store, and distribute your content as necessary for the App to function properly.
9. Disclaimers
Service Availability
The App is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any part of it at any time without notice.
Third-Party Services
The App may integrate with third-party services (such as Apple's App Store, location services, etc.). We are not responsible for the availability, content, or privacy practices of these third-party services.
Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and conditions.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PawCards shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or use, arising out of or relating to your use of the App.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation of liability, so these limitations may not apply to you.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
