Location sharing is completely disabled by default. Your location is never shared unless you explicitly enable it. When you're going for a walk, simply tap the location button on the map to share. We respect your privacy - no automatic tracking, no background sharing.
When you enable location sharing, you choose whether to share with specific friends or all your friends. You're in complete control of who can see your location on the map when you're out walking.
The map only shows users who are actively walking and have explicitly enabled location sharing. If someone isn't sharing their location or isn't moving, they won't appear on your map. Community alerts and lost pet notifications are always visible regardless of location sharing settings.
You can turn location sharing off at any time with a single tap. There's no permanent tracking, no background location sharing, and no data stored after you stop sharing. Complete control, complete privacy.
